January 28, 2026: A delegation of Civil Services Academy Balochistan – headed by Dr Hafeez Ahmed Jamali, and comprising faculty members and under training Assistant Commissioners – visited WAPDA House. The delegation was briefed about climate change, water availability and the projects being implemented by WAPDA for water, food and energy security of Pakistan.
Later, during the interactive session, Chairman WAPDA Lt Gen Muhammad Saeed (Retd) highlighted the need for construction of dams, and the factors hampering development of water storage in the country. The Chairman also shared his views with the trainees about effective policy formulation and its implementation besides public dealing in discharge of their duties.
Member (Water) Syed Ali Akhtar Shah, Secretary WAPDA Aziz Ahmed Jamali and other senior officers also attended the briefing session.
