Mangla Dam filled to maximum; reservoir attains 1242 feet level
October 9, 2025: Mangla Dam, the biggest reservoir in terms of water storage in Pakistan, today filled to its maximum conservation level of 1242 feet above mean sea level. Neelum Jhelum
The Project diverts Neelum river water through tunnels at Nauseri about 41 km upstream of Muzaffarabad and out falling in Jhelum River near Chatter Kalas in AJ&K, where the powerhouse is located. Hub Dam
The preliminary works of Hub Dam, built across the River Hub, were commenced in September, 1963 and completed in June, 1981. The project was meant to construct a storage reservoir for regulating the flows of Hub River for the purpose of municipal, industrial water supply and irrigation releases to Karachi in Sindh and Lasbela District

The project is located on Bhimber Nullah about 10 km u/s of Bhimber-Gujrat Road Bridge in District Bhimber, Azad Kashmir. Chiniot Dam Project
The dam site is located on Chenab river about 5 km from the Chiniot city, District Chiniot and approximately 100 meter u/s of existing Railway Bridge.
