The Project is located on Deosai Plain at an altitude 3,962 m.a.s.l (13,000 ft.) which is about 27 km (16.7 miles) from the Satpara Dam Project, and 6 km (3.7 miles) south of Skardu Town. It hasan expected completion date of December 2023. The objectives of the project are to increase availability of flows during crop sowing season, generation of additional energy and to increase water supply requirement of Skardu Town.
