To be completed in December 2023, the project is located in Tehsil Kot Addu, District Muzaffargarh, Punjab and length of canal is 63Km. The scope of work included
- Lining of Muzaffargarh Canal along with drainage system
- Rehabilitation of existing structure
Project Benefits:
- 35% of total command area of Muzaffargarh Canal will be rehabilitated and 0.3 Million acres land of Kot Adu will be brought back for cultivation
- Increase in per capita income of inhabitants
- Living standard of Inhabitants will improve
- Reduction in migration, due to waterlogging
- Health of affectees will improve
- Education & social activities will increase
- Increased value of land & greater economic prosperity
- Revenue of government will increase, due to establishment of agro based industry
