The proposed Canal will off-take from the existing Bong Canal in District Mirpur, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K). Canal Head Regulator will be located about 8 km downstream of Mangla Dam on New Bong Canal adjacent to Upper Jhelum Canal (UJC). Expected commencement date is January 2019 and it is to be completed by December 2021.
