The canal off-takes from Chashma Jhelum Link Canal. (Khushab, Bhakkar, Layyah and Jhang Districts of Punjab). The main aim of the canal is to provide water to agricultural production, resulting in a boost to the economy, improvements in the physical environment including the atmosphere, climate, land, and water and improvement in the quality of life due to betterment in socio-cultural and socio-economic conditions. Crop benefits of Rs. 5.58 Billion per year. Phase-1 of the project was completed in June 2009.
