The scope of work included<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lining of Muzaffargarh Canal along with drainage system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rehabilitation of existing structure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project Benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>35% of total command area of Muzaffargarh Canal will be rehabilitated and 0.3 Million acres land of Kot Adu will be brought back for cultivation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase in per capita income of inhabitants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Living standard of Inhabitants will improve<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduction in migration, due to waterlogging<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health of affectees will improve<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Education &amp; social activities will increase<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased value of land &amp; greater economic prosperity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Revenue of government will increase, due to establishment of agro based industry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Water pollution, due to stagnant water will be eliminated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good quantity water will be available for human being as well as livestock.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Annual benefits Rs. 1.68 Billion per annum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To be completed in December 2023, the project is located in Tehsil Kot Addu, District Muzaffargarh, Punjab and length of canal is 63Km.
