Location

The project area is located between Phandar Lake and Chhashi Gol, near the Chhashi village on the right side of Ghizar River in Ghizar District of Gilgit Baltistan. Phandar Lake is located  about 160 km north-west of Gilgit town and 772 km north of Islamabad.

Detailed Engineering Design and preparation of Tender  Documents.
Objectives/Benefits
To design a power house of 80 MW Hydropower Project with mean annual  hydroelectricity of 348 GWH.

PRESENT STATUS / PROGRESS  

·        Consultancy agreement for detailed Engineering Design and Preparation of tender documents have been signed between WAPDA (Hydro) Planning & Phandar Hydro consultants JV on 22.10.2010.

.      CMTL, WAPDA has completed the seismic refraction survey and other geo-technical investigation and has also completed the lab analysis for trenches and pits. Results/Report have been submitted to the Consultants.  

.        Comments on design memorandum offered by WAPDA Organizations have been sent to Consultants for consideration in the final design.

.        A draft cost estimate has been submitted by the Consultants for review and comments.
