· The
feasibility Study of Lawi HPP was completed and cleared
by WAPDA Standing Review committee (WSRC).

WSRC meeting held on 27.09.2009 approved the PC-I
for submission to Ministry of Water and Power for ECNEC
approval.

A meeting held in Ministry of Water and Power dated
04.06.2010 wherein it was decided that project would be
developed on public private partnership mode jointly by
WAPDA and Infrastructure Project Development Facility (IPDF)
from Ministry of Finance Gop.

A Presentation was made to Governor KPK and Chief
Minister KPK on projects being handled by WAPDA in the
Province of KPK Development of Lawi on PPP mode was
discussed in length.
.
Government of KPK decided to take-up Lawi HPP from their
own resource and asked WAPDA to provide feasibility
study free of cost. Soft copy of feasibility study and
PC-I sent to Government of KPK after approval of
Chairman WAPDA.

Managing Director SHYDO, Government of Khyber Pkhtunkhwa
has informed that PC_I has been submitted for the
approval of CDWP by SHYDO and requested for withdrawn of
PC_I submitted by WAPDA.
.
Wapda has requested Ministry of Water and Power to
withdraw already submitted PC-I from Planning Commission
of Pakistan.
