Reason for Delay
  • Late issuance of Construction Order (12 Jan. 2005) due to delay in completion of access roads.
  • Effects of devastating earthquake of 8th Oct. 2005 in form of frequent slides on roads & project sites resulting from after shocks.
  • Scarcity of local labour in the area after earthquake.
  • Adverse climatic conditions.
  • Slow progress due to poor management of Chinese Contractor.
  • Evacuation of Chinese from Project sites due to security reason on 07 Nov 2007. Resumption of Works at Project sites by end Apr. 2008.
