The Project is located on the right side of existing Jinnah Barrage, 5 km from Kalabagh town in District Mianwali and 243 km from Islamabad.

PRESENT STATUS  

 

§           Feasibility Study updated by WAPDA-GTZ in April 2000.

§           PC-I of the Project approved on 02.09.2002 for Rs.13546.8 Million with FEC of   Rs.6608.221 Million.

§           After series of discussions with Dong Feng Electric Company (DEC) of China, project cost finalized as US$ 128 million. 

§           On the basis of Sovereign Guarantee issued by Ministry of Finance (GOP), amended the Contract as agreed upon signed between WAPDA and DEC of China on 23rd November, 2005.

§           The project is being implemented on EPC/Turnkey basis with Supplier’s Credit arranged by M/s. Dongfang Electric Corporation, China.

§           15% mobilization advance given to the Contractor. Contractor mobilized on site in February, 2006.

§           Project commencement date               February, 2006
 

§           Project completion date                      February, 2010
