DRAINAGE PROJECT RBOD-I

Location: RBOD-I Project is an integral part of Right Bank Outfall Drainage System which has been proposed mainly as a means of disposing of effluent from the Right Bank of Sukkur and Guddu Barrage Commands in Sindh Province. The area benefited under the project is 1.28 Million (Acres (GCA) and major part of the project area lies within the districts of Larkana, Kamber-Shahdadkot, Dadu & Jamshoro Districts of Sindh Province). 
Scope of work: To provide outfall facilities to the existing and proposed drainage project, to improve environmental conditions in Manchhar and Hamal Lakes.Rehabilitation of existing Drainage System. The works includes:
  • Balance work of IL-1 i/c widening for 3500 Cusecs – Contract No. RI(E)
  • Widening of IL-2&3 for 3500 cusecs – Contract No. RI(B)
  • RBOD Extension upto MKZP – Contract No. RI(A)
  • Remodeling of MNVD RD 220+000 to RD342+000 – Contract No. RIII(a/1)
  • Remodeling of MNVD RD 110+000 RD 220+000 – Contract No. RIII(a/2)
  • Remodeling of MNVD RD 0+000 to RD 110+000 – Contract No. RIII(a/3)
  • Balance works of RTD-1A – Contract No. RTD-1(B)

 Location: Project is located on the right bank of River Indus lies between the latitude of 27o-54o & 28o-40o’ and longitude of 67o-39o and 68o-51o . Mostly it is spread within the area of Districts Nasirabad and Jafarabad of Balochistan and District Jacobabad and Kambar Shahdadkot  of Sindh Province.
Scope of work: To provide the direly needed effluent disposal facilities for existing and proposed drainage projects to reclaim the agricultural land converted into ponds of water and Irrigation surplus. Conservation of Hamal and Mancher Lakes and environment condition will improve over gross commanded area (GCA) of 287,106 hectares. The Project is comprising of following components:
  • Hairdin Carrier Drain Extension from Chukhi to MKZP and 6km North of Chukhi.
  • Construction of Irrigation channel for reutilization of 400 cusec of Balochistan effluent.
  • RBOD Extension from MKZP to Hairdin Pump Station.

REMEDIAL MEASURES  TO  CONTROL WATER  LOGGING  DUE TO MUZAFFARGARH & T.P LINK CANALS
