Status

  •  Inauguration of the Tarbela 4th Extension Hydropower Project took place on March 10, 2018
  •  The Engineer has issued TOC-4 for Employer’s taking over of the powerhouse. Civil Works are complete.

  •  World Bank has categorically declared the project as one of the best completed within cost & time.

  •  T3 & T4 Intake Raising Works are dependent upon safe reservoir level and shut-downs.

  •  Raised structures are scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2020 during current lean/ construction period.

  •  Permanent concrete plugging of both tunnels (3 & 4) and removal of Intakes Coffer Dam is scheduled by June 30, 2021.
