The Principal (WAPDA Cadet College Tarbela)

Prof: Mohammad Asif Malik born at Lahore, the Principal received his early education at Presentation Convent High School Rawalpindi. In 1954 he joined Saint Mary's Cambridge Academy Rawalpindi from where he did Senior Cambridge in 1959. Thereafter he joined Government College Lahore and left the College after six years with a masters degree in Physics in 1965.

In 1965 he joined Cadet College Hasan Abdal and taught Physics for 10 years from 1965 to 1975. In 1975 he left for Nigeria and worked as Senior / Principal Education Officer in some of the leading educational institutions in Kano State. From 1987 to 1990 he was the Project Director and Principal of Cadet College Mastung. In 1990 he joined Lawrence College Ghora Gali, Murree as Principal and serve that institution as Head for six years. In 1996 he joined Cadet College Palandri as Project Director and Principal. The same year he joined the City Schools Network as Regional Director for the Nothern Region. In 1998 he left for Abu Dhabi as Principal of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed School. In 2002 he was selected as Principal of Sadiq Public School Bahawalpur. In 2007 he joined Chand Bagh School Muridke as Principal. After a stay of about two years he was selected as Principal of Cadet College Hasan Abdal for a period of three years. Upon his retirement from there he joined WAPDA Cadet College as Principal.

Prof. Mohammad Asif Malik has put-in over 49 years of meritorious service, 35 of these years as Principal in some of the leading and most reputable institutions both in the country and abroad. In 1989 he was selected as a participant for the prestigious Higher Management and Advanced Administrative Long Course conducted by the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA)

For the outstanding services rendered in the field of education, the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan conferred upon him the coveted national award of Pride of Performance in 1996.

It is his sole intension to bring the entire expertise acquired during his illustrious carrier of 49 years in the field of education to WAPDA Cadet College, Tarbela.
