DARAWAT DAM PROJECT
It is located near village Jhangri about 20 kms from Super Highway (Lower Kohistan) at about 70 kms West of Hyderabad and 135 kms North East of Karachi across Nai Baran River in Thatta / Jamshoro districts of Sindh Province.
|2. Scope of Work||Government of Pakistan intends to develop land and water resources of the country for irrigated agriculture development, hydropower, flood control, socio economic uplift, and emancipation of poor and needy women of the area.|

7. Salient Features
118 ft high Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam (CRFD) will create gross storage of 121,790 AF and this storage will be used to irrigate 25,000 acres of Culturable Command Area alongwith hydropower generation of 450 KW (As per decision pf CDWP the power component will be implemented under public private partnership basis).
