Government of Pakistan intends to develop land and water resources of the country for irrigated agriculture development, hydropower, flood control, socio economic uplift, emancipation of poor and needy women of the area. |

| 7. Salient Features |
118 ft high concrete faced rockfill dam (CRFD) will create gross storage of 121,790 AF and this storage will be used to irrigate 50,000 acres of land with high efficiency irrigation system alongwith hydropower generation of 450 KW. |

- PC-I approved by ECNEC in
its meeting held on September 3, 2009. - Revised PC-I amounting to Rs.18085 Million submitted to MOW&P for approval of ECNEC. - Ground breaking ceremony was graced by the President of Pakistan on January 2, 2010 - Contract agreement has been signed on June 09, 2010 - Contractor has been mobilized |
